Mission

My goal is to help families find the school that authentically aligns with their values and meets the needs of their child, both academically and socio-emotionally. As an educator, I strongly believe it is a privilege and a responsibility to provide children with the opportunities to learn and grow, to dream and aspire, and to eventually become great thinkers and doers in this world. Being a consultant allows me to continue advocating for children while I work with their families to find a school that is the best fit. To achieve this, my mission is to bring clarity and confidence to parents by preparing them in a timely and organized manner while guiding them through each step of the admissions process.

My Approach

  • Having just served as the Associate Director of Admissions for Carlthorp, I have an in-depth knowledge of the entire admissions process. From initial interview to application essays to assessments, I will help guide your family so you can give your child every advantage as you embark on this journey. Every moment matters - let’s make the most of them.

  • Teaching has always been at the heart of what I do. After getting my Master's degree in Education at USC, I spent the next 16 years teaching at both LAUSD and private schools in Los Angeles. With my extensive knowledge and experience in the classroom, I can provide families with unparalleled insight into the different types of curricula, pedagogy, learning environments, and resource/support specialists offered at the various private (and public) schools in Los Angeles.

  • As a parent who has just gone through the application process with my son (and about to again, with my preschooler), I understand how stressful choosing a school can be. There are so many factors to consider- academics, community, parental involvement, location, athletics, facilities, diversity, you name it. Yet as arduous as this process can be, I've come to appreciate the silver lining that accompanies it, which is setting aside intentional time to thoughtfully consider your family's values and your child's educational needs. I can provide a relatable perspective while patiently assisting families in finding the perfect school for them.

  • Whether it is finding the right preschool, private school, or public charter/magnet school, I look forward to learning about your family's values and guiding your interests. As each family is unique, all schools are unique, too, so optimizing every opportunity to get to know each other, reciprocally, is of paramount importance. In my experience in Admissions, there is no "one way" to get into a school - it's about determining the "right way" for your family. During our initial consultation, I will take time to get to know you and your child. From there, we will determine the best plan of action for your family - whether that be consulting as needed or going through the process together every step of the way.
